Dorothy Rader
Professionally, Dorothy Rader is currently the Director of Federal Security Management with Deloitte LLP where, as a member of Deloitte Federal's risk management team, she manages the various disciplines of their federal industrial security program. She has twenty five years of experience working both in the Federal Government (predominantly the Department of Defense) and private industry in the areas of national security program management and policy, organizational change, communication and leadership training, and program, project and integration management.
Personally, Dorothy and her husband, Dennis, live in Huntingtown, Maryland, and have five children. The youngest, Emma, graduated from the Tidewater school in 2010 after seven years as a student in their academic program.
Grace Yannakakis
Paul Quicker
Paul is the Chief Architect for Chesapeake Strategy, Inc. He is responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions for CSI's clients. Mr. Quicker received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, with graduate studies in Computer Science and Management at the University of Maryland at College Park. He and his wife live in Dunkirk, Maryland with their three sons, two cats and a dog. He has been a proud Tidewater parent since 2005.
Randi AlBanna
Randi has devoted her entire life to care giving, first to her siblings for many years and then as a nurse, mother, grandmother and now as a care giver for her mother. She grew up in New England where she attended school and graduated from College with a B.S. degree in Nursing. After moving to Maryland to practice, she worked at Prince George’s General Hospital in ICU and CCU. Then she went on to Graduate school where she majored in Child Psychiatric Nursing. After accomplishing a Master of Science in Nursing, she worked at University Hospital in Baltimore on the Residential Treatment Unit for Emotionally Handicapped Children. In 1973, Randi moved with her husband to Calvert County to begin a family and support her husband’s medical practice as a surgeon and general practitioner. Two of her children attended Tidewater School when its doors opened and she has been devoted to its philosophy ever since. She has been proud to be a part of its growth and development through its 25 years in Calvert County and instrumental in its many phases of change.
Sarah Jencks
Sarah Jencks became the first Director of Education at Ford's Theatre Society in 2007, where she has overseen creation of programming for the new Center for Education and Leadership, including interpretive and education programs for learners of all ages, both locally and nationally. Student programs focus on the use of arts and museum learning strategies to teach history, theatre and English Language Arts content. Sarah co-founded the Civil War Washington Collaborative, which leverages museum and historic site resources to engage teachers, students and other visitors in city-wide, place-based learning. She has worked as a classroom teacher and arts administrator in New York City, Baltimore and Boston, and holds a M.Ed. in school leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and an A.B. in American Civilization from Brown University.

Kirk McAlexander
Kirk has over 30 years’ experience leading advancement work at Johns Hopkins University, the National Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), the Menninger Foundation, the National Federation of Independent Business, and the U.S. Naval Institute. His consulting practice, the McAlexander Group, helps institutions plan and implement capital campaigns, corporate partnerships, and major individual gifts programs. He has considerable experience orienting and training volunteer leadership, mentoring staff, and strengthening brands.
John Wiland
John is married and the father of two young children. He works as a Certified Public Accountant with Mullen, Sondberg, Wimbish, & Stone, P.A. in Annapolis, Maryland.
