- Music: All Tidewater students enthusiastically participate in an experiential music program. Beginning with rhythm and movement as PK youngsters, the children gradually mature as sophisticated students of different music genres and productions with a sound awareness of how culture and music are inseparable.
- Spanish: Windows of opportunity for language occur very young. Spanish begins in PK and gradually becomes an integral part of the daily life of the elementary child at Tidewater. Within each classroom, there is dedicated space for the children to practice the lessons presented each week. Our Spanish lessons are presented with the same respect as with all content at Tidewater: Lessons are meaningful and relevant, serving as a model for culture in the world.
- Physical Education: Our learning environments extend beyond the classroom walls. We believe that the physical development of the child empowers and enables focus for learning to develop at an optimal level. Our younger children exercise and play on a daily basis. In addition to daily outdoor play, the elementary children participate in an organized and developmentally challenging physical education curriculum each week.
