Our History: Opening the doors in 1986 for Pre-K and K, The Tidewater School became and remains the only school in Southern Maryland that offers an individualized and developmentally respectful model of education. With the demand from families to expand the program, the Board of Directors relocated the school in 1995 to its current location in Huntingtown, Maryland and developed the elementary program. The school is incorporated as a 501(c)(3). non-profit educational corporation dedicated to the establishment of programs for children, their parents, and the community.
