Please send your child to school in comfortable play clothes.

A change of clothing will need to be kept at school for all PK and Kindergarten aged children. This is to allow an immediate change should there be an accidental spill or toileting problem. Place this change of clothing in a plastic bag with the child's name on it. For PK students, we also ask that you provide a pair of slip-on rain boots, a hat and gloves or mittens to keep at school.  Make sure that names are on each item. 

For the Lower Elementary students, it would be helpful if students could keep a change of clothes in their backpacks.

Every PK and K child is requested to have the Tidewater "uniform" for excursions off the school grounds. This helps so much for safety. In the bright blue and yellow outfit, a child is more visible and discriminated within a crowd. This uniform includes a short sleeve T-shirt, shorts, sweatshirt, and sweat pants. These articles of clothing are purchased at the beginning of the school year. The younger children truly love their Tidewater clothes and may certainly wear them at any time during the school year in addition to special outings.  Elementary students usually purchase a t-shirt or a sweatshirt to wear for identification purposes on field trips.

We will also be going out to play daily, except on inclement days, so please dress your child appropriately for the outside temperature.  We play joyfully in and out of the classroom and clothes tend to reflect that! Please dress for the mess.
