During the year, we will travel outside of the classroom to visit educational and exciting places. We will also have field trips within the classroom. This means we have guests come to share special events with us.  Written parental permission is obtained for any trip outside the classroom.

The PK and Kindergarten children typically do not leave the county for their excursions, however there have been special occasions. On trips beyond the county border, every child is required to have a parent unless special permission and an agreement for supervision by another parent is obtained. All PK and K children wear their "Tidewater" clothing on outings.

The Elementary children may travel beyond the county depending upon their study units. They refer to their trips as "Going Out" and they plan and arrange for their visits.

As we do not have a bus, we are totally dependent upon parents to drive. We would greatly appreciate your services in driving and accompanying us.   Signing up to drive is organized prior to each trip.  All children will be placed in the back seats of vehicles and buckled securely.

Drivers on field trips must have their driver's license information on file in the school office.  They should have an emergency kit in their vehicle, bring their cell phone and have the teacher's cell phone number in case of emergency.
