Emergency Information

Due to the tragic events of 9/11/01, The Tidewater School has developed an emergency plan which will go into effect in the event of an act of disaster.Please tune your radio to 97.7 FM or 98.3 FM in the event of an emergency.

At the school, we will be advised through the emergency services of the county whether we are to evacuate or stay inside the building. The notification takes place to us by either a 911 call to us that we are in immediate danger or by route alert which means that the police or fire department will come directly to us. If we are told to evacuate, we will take all of the children to the Dunkirk Baptist Church Parking lot north of MacDonald's restaurant in Dunkirk on Route 4. You will meet us there. We will contact you at the phone numbers you have provided on your emergency forms.

We would like to have on hand a list of volunteer drivers who could help us in case of emergency.  Please let us know of your interest in helping with this emergency transport.
