Employment

The Tidewater School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation in the admission of pupils or the employment of faculty or staff.

We have a very small administrative and teaching staff, so employment options at Tidewater are limited, but we are always happy to accept resumes from trained Montessori guides.  Teaching staff must hold a minimum Bachelor's degree and be Montessori-trained at either an American Montessori Society (AMS) or Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) affiliated training program.

We also welcome interns who seek to complete their Montessori practicum hours. Inquiries should be directed to the Head of School.

All staff members enjoy competitive pay, paid vacation and sick time, summer vacation, retirement benefits, and a family-friendly and cooperative work environment.

Resumes and cover letters may be sent to: tidewaterschool@thetidewaterschool.org
